Total adventure awaits as we go on an Alaskan road trip! Meux Meux comes along as we travel across much of North America to get to Fairbanks, Alaska!

The original plan was to go all around Alaska, but the low quality fuel in Canada had caused the Jeep to have some problems. We decided to come back earlier to get the car repaired in Canada, but wound up driving it back home unfixed!

June 2012

On my quest to find a medical school, I planned a trip to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in the West Indies to check out Trinity School of Medicine. It takes two days to get to St. Vincent from Phoenix and it was quite an adventure just getting there!

I had three flights: Phoenix to Miami, Miami to Barbados, then Barbados to St. Vincent. This was my first experience on a propeller plane, the Dash 8. I stayed overnight in Barbados and arrived in the morning on St. Vincent.

The school also turned out to be a pleasant surprise! I really liked the professors and the facilities. I also really liked the island and the people there. I was actually sad to leave! I am hoping that I can finish my application fast and get into the September semester. This school is a hidden treasure, just like St. Vincent!

April 2011

During National Park Week 2011, we decided to finally check out some parts of Saguaro National Park.

Starting at King Canyon Trail, we only walked around a little bit to the Mam-A Gah picnic area before we saw bear poop and hightailed it out of there! I really wasn't interested in meeting a black bear face to face!
